SAFETY DRILLS AT KLEEFELD SCHOOL At Kleefeld School we practice three types of safety dris: re dris, lock down dris and tornado dris. We have been practicing individual class re dris this past month. Our goal is for students to understand the seriousness of a re and have the knowledge to exit the building in a safe and organized manner. If you have questions or concerns, please ca J. Bergen at the school.
Dressing for the Weather - Considerations Please be aware that Kleefeld School students are expected to participate in outdoor recess and should dress appropriately for the weather conditions . We are entering a season where the weather is turning colder. Please encourage your children to dress warm so that they are not suering from the cold. We wi foow the cold guidelines as necessary.
Weather Related School Closure guidelines are available on the HSD website. HSD wi close for extreme hazardous conditions (blizzards, blowing snow) and for cold weather reasons when the temperature at the Environment Canada weather station in Kleefeld at 6:00 AM is at minus 35 degrees Celsius or colder OR is experiencing a wind chi of minus 45 degrees Celsius or colder. If concerned about child safety during periods of extreme weather, parents may choose to keep their children at home.
Band/Music @ Kleefeld School Our instrument covers and student masks have arrived so that band wi now take place indoors. We wi begin with
Christmas music shortly and wi nd a way to share it with you.

NEWS FROM THE HIVE...
Heo parents, As you may have heard already, a of the schools in the province are going to code orange. That is going to cause a few changes, with one of the main ones being shifting a of our classes and students to two metre spacing. We have next week to make those plans, much of which we already have in place. You wi be receiving some emails from the division this weekend with more information and a survey, so please read through those carefuy and respond where appropriate. Like always, we are here to answer your questions, and please trust that a of these decisions we make are made in the best interest of your child and their education. We are committed to doing what is best for our community! Thank you, Joel Bergen Principal of Kleefeld School
