The Calvary Connection

In every season, there

is a reason to rejoice

and an opportunity to

do good. “Nothing is

better for them than to

rejoice, and to do good

in their lives.” (Eccl. 3:12).

The challenge for each

of us every day is to

find something to re-

joice about and some

good to do—and then

to do both.

By: Julie Ackerman Link

Yet even as I antici-

pate my favorite sea-

son, I hear my moth-

er’s voice saying,

“Don’t wish your life

away.” If you’re like

me, you sometimes

hear yourself saying,

“When such and such

happens, then I will .

. or, If only so and so ,

then I would do that . .

. or, I would be happy

if . . . or, I will be satis-

fied when . . .” In long-

ing for some future

good, we forget that

every day—regardless

of the weather or our

circumstances—is a gift

from God to be used

for His glory.

According to author

Ron Ash, “We are

where we need to be

and learning what we

need to learn. Stay the

course because the

things we experience

today will lead us to

where He needs us to

be tomorrow.”

It’s been a long,

winter, and I am

eager for warm

weather. I’m tired

of seeing bare

trees and lifeless

brown leaves cov-

ering the ground. I

long to see wild-

flowers poke

through the dead

leaves and to

watch the woods

turn green once

more.

Welcome New

Members

This month we say welcome to Ron and Debbie Wyatt.

The Wyatt's were previously members of Faith Baptist

Church in Quinlan, TX.

Ron is retired and Debbie is Service Coordinator at Den-ton County MHMR. We are so happy to have them.

Some of our new members may not

be aware that the Church has a li-

brary. There are books and videos for

both adults and children. The library

is open anytime the church is open.

We do ask that a parent accompany

their child. The library is located at

the back of the church last door on

the left on your way to the fellowship

hall. There is a simple check out

sheet on the desk. If you have any

questions you may ask Lori Kremling

or Diana Eichenberger.
