Mr Brandon Baldwin – Automotive

MS in Career and Technical Education at Buffalo State College; other degrees earned at Cornell University and SUNY Morrisville.

Mr. Baldwin will assume teaching responsibilities in Automotive Technology where he will also spearhead efforts to garner NATEF certification for SUNY Canton automotive programs.

Extensive teaching, applications, and service experience in the automobile industry including responsibilities at Erie Community College, various manufacturers’ representatives, and several BOCES facilities.

Dr Stephen Frempong – EET Teaching experience in RF and digital communications,

telecommunications, instrumentation, and engineering management.

Prior teaching responsibilities at University of West Virginia, Western Carolina University, Johns Hopkins, and Morgan State University.

PhD from California Coast University with other degrees earned at Pace University, and CUNY.

Responsibilities include teaching in EET and assisting with lab upgrades and program enhancements.

Dr John Zielinski – Physics Teaching & Research experience at University of Illinois,

RPI, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the University of Texas, West Virginia University and Roanoke State Community College. Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil.

PhD in EE from University of Texas; MD from the University of Tennessee. Additional degrees earned at the University of Illinois and the University of Notre Dame.

Delighted to have Dr Zielinski assume Physics teaching responsibilities and assist with efforts to update coursework, labs, and integration with other CSOET programs.

Goal 1. Academic StandardsAcquire and/or maintain appropriate

program accreditations that certify program quality and serve to increase program strength.

Continue implementation and improvement of program outcomes assessment processes that will yield continuous improvement and thus support strategic growth and change initiatives.

Goal 2: Content Delivery

Identify opportunities that will enable utilization of 21st century instructional technologies in supporting new content delivery protocols.

Reduce content redundancy within and among program curricula to enable better focus in pursuing strategic growth opportunities.

Goal 3: Instruction

Provide professional development opportunities for faculty and ISA resources that will facilitate improved instructional effectiveness, increased utilization of new teaching technologies, and the further pursuit of interdisciplinary collaborations.

Goal 4. Program Balance

Offer a mix of programs that provide strong yet flexible academic growth paths along the general themes of energy, facilities, information, and transportation.

Programs will meet evolving market needs and leverage for synergy within the Canino School of Engineering Technology.

Goal 5: Facilities

Assure that teaching/laboratory facilities are state-of-art. Facilities and equipment should serve multiple program areas where possible thus reducing redundancy.

Facilities (laboratories, in particular) will increasingly rely on internet connectivity to support experimentation-at-distance.

Facility and equipment utilization rates will attain satisfactory levels.

Goal 6: EnrollmentAttract sufficient number and quality of

students to each program stream to assure a critical mass of students and alumni; this will validate program strength and justify investment of resources to assure continued program growth and enhancement.

Seek strategies that will suitably improve student retention and graduation rates.

Goal 7: CommunityPartnerships & Program Visibility: Clarify the

structure and “fit” of programs offered by the Canino School of Engineering Technology to improve attractiveness of programs.

Adjust the advisory board structure to enable more effective support of program performance reviews and strategic planning efforts.

Expand efforts to improve/expand print literature, newsletter, and web-based communication resources.
