Sock it to Eating Disorders

More people are seeking help for an eating disorder and yet many others do not know where to turn for support. Many of us know of someone who has suffered from these devastating illnesses.

Beat is the UKs leading charity for people affected by eating disorders. Overeating, undereating, food anxiety, food obsessions, distorted body image and difficulties with food, weight and shape are all ways of expressing distress and many of these difficulties start when young people become teenagers.

Around 1.6 million people in the UK are affected by eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia, which claim more lives each year than any other mental illness.

This years Sock It To Eating Disorders is being held on Friday 27th February 2015, so its time to get as silly as possible with those socks again!

We would very much appreciate your support, so if you are able to help, we would love to hear from you.
