A message from Father Quentin…

As I was reflecting on our opportunity to share our resources with the Archbishop in this year's Call to Share, I thought it would be a good time to dust off my Ecclesiology book from seminary and reflect on the communion we have in the Catholic Church.

Pope Benedict XVI in his book called to communion explains the role of the Bishop in this communion.

"Just as he opens the local Church to the universal Church, he also introduces into the universal Church the particular voice of his

diocese, its particular charisms, its assets and afflictions. Everything belongs to everyone. Every organ is important, and the contribution of each is

necessary for the whole."Being a part of the Catholic Church is a beautiful thing as we are joined to believers all over the world. Being united to the believers of our Archdiocese in the Northeast corner of Kansas is a blessing as well.

Let us join together and support the efforts being made in our Archdiocese to spread the love of Jesus Christ.

May God Bless You.

The Work of Christmas

When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star of the sky is gone, when the kings and the princes are home, when the shepherds are back with their flocks, the Work of Christmas begins: to find the lost, to heal the broken, to feed the hungry, to release the prisoner, to rebuild the nations, to bring peace among people, to make music in the heart!

by Howard Thurman, 1926

Go out and share the Good News with all you meet and bring Christ to a world that needs Him so very much right now!
