His-story is one in which God determined to create and claim, through love, a people of his own. The readings this week portray three aspects of his-story: the promise, the prescription, and the preview. The Promise : Some 100-200 years before Jesus was born, Daniel predicted the promise of eternal resurrection and eternal punishment. We who follow Christ base our views about eternity on the divine revelation of sacred Scripture, which holds unlimited promises. The Prescription : Jesus became and becomes our high priest, entering into God’s presence offering his own life, death, and resurrection as the Sacrifice which can remove every stain of sin, making perfect and freeing from guilt and judgment those who believe. The Preview : This week’s Gospel passage gives us just a hint of the final outcome. His will be a glorious victory and a triumphant return, the inevitable and sure conclusion to his-story. Jesus, who knew no sin, took our sins on the cross so that we could be presented, freed from sin, to the Father. This blessed assurance is the kernel of his-story. YOUTH CORNER Mabuhay and greetings to you all. We are coming towards the end as our senior students are finished school and on their exams. Our prayers, hearts and thoughts are with them during this time and wishing them all the best. We are now strongly encouraging our young people to participate our weekly program as we started practising Christmas songs plus more for future events. We also started raising funds to support our young people who will represent our Parish at Life Teen Summer Camp in January. Please pray for this event as we need our young people to attend those kinds of formation event to help them in different ways especially their Faith. Sausage sizzles already on the way and any donation towards this fundraising will be very much appreciated. At the Parish's Kiwiana Festival, we had planned to sell raffle tickets and they will do carols too. We need some sponsors for the prizes and if you can donate a prize/s, please kindly drop it to my office or Parish office or contact if need to be picked up. A huge thank you to all those families that had brought in lovely donations for the prizes. The Annual Sick and Retired Priests Special Collection

Sunday 29 November 2015

On behalf of the Bishop, the Clergy Trust Fund provides for the

wellbeing and care of priests in the Diocese. This includes

stipends, food, travel home for overseas priests, retreats, and all

costs relating to healthcare. The Clergy Trust Fund struggles to

meet increasing medical costs. Hence, your giving to this special

collection is most appreciated by the Fund which receives the

money, and by those priests who then benefit from your

generosity. Your support is a great way of showing your gratitude

to your priests.

Many thanks and blessings to all who contribute to this special

collection. Fr Brian Walsh, Vicar General

OUR CATECHUMENS

St MARY MacKILLOP and Fr JULIAN TENISON WOODS

gathering space of Sacred Heart Church. They are there to

remind us of the Josephite spirit, lived among us over the years,

in a particular way by the Sisters , but also to show us that a

Josephite spirituality is for everyone .
