Recently I received a devotional from Dan Reiland. Dan is a pastoral staff member at 12 Stone Church in Gwinnett County. The title of this par-ticular devotional immediately caught my attention because it made me think of what I’d like to see happen in my life in 2020. I suppose many might have the same thought. What would you really like to see become a dynamic, living, and transformational reality in 2020?

The title of Dan’s devotional is, “What Will You Chase In 2020?” I be-gan to reflect upon all the things that will chase me in 2020. That’s right. I already have some things chasing me rather than vice versa. Dan states, “One of the greatest decisions you can make is to get out in front of your own life and decide what you will chase rather than reacting to all that chases you.”

Just to be clear, Dan provided a short list of just a few things that may chase you:

*Opportunities *Regrets *Social Media *Email *Temptations *Deadlines *Pleasures *Unfinished projects

Any of those ring a bell? Got something you can add to the list? Would you agree with this statement----“It’s not enough to say no to much of what will chase you in 2020. The only way to truly make progress is to choose what you will chase.”

Here are a few choices for 2020:

1. Chase after the fullness of following Jesus. Discover or re-discover what it really means to be a disciple of Jesus. 2. Chase healthy and meaningful relationships 3. Chase what produces the most significant results. (Seek first the king-dom of God…)

Anything else spark something in your heart? Just listen to God speak through His word. Ask Him to help you chase that of eternal worth. I think we would conclude 2020 in a far different way.

Happy New Year,

Len
