An educational progress report should include the following:
a. Introduction: this paragraph should be an overall background of the child.b. Foundations: information about the student's attention span, response to services, interests, motivators, reinforcers, behaviors and behavior intervention plan, if any.c. Cognitive Development: information about the student's progress on goals and information from formal and informal assessments. d. Communication: information about the student's progress on goals and information from formal and informal assessments including a general description of receptive, expressive and pragmatic language.e. Social-Emotional: information about the student's progress on goals and information from formal and informal assessments including a student's play skills, relationships with peers and adults, ability to follow routines and negotiate conflicts.f. Gross and Fine Motor Development: Progress on goals.g. Self Help: Progress on goals.h. Summary: A summary should include a brief synopsis of each domain, management needs, amount of supervision needed, if using assessment tool then include age range that child is functioning at. Recommendations are made to continue, discontinue, increase, or decrease service only for SEIT, we do not recommend services for any other related service.
