Selecting the right wash?The first step in selecting a great car wash is deciding whether you want a straight car wash or a wash and wax. Luckily, Malco has a num-ber of great choices for both.

Sheeting vs. Beading?Malco wash and wax products ei-ther sheet or bead. Choosing the right wheel cleaner for your needsMalco wheel cleaners fall into two categories: caustic cleaners and acid-based cleaners. Both offer outstanding cleaning power, but there are some important differ-ences. First, caustic-based cleaners like Malco Complete™ are gener-ally safer and provide more com-plete cleaning of both the wheel and the tire. However, extremely dirty wheels with heavy deposits of baked-on, caked-on brake dust and grime may require a more ag-gressive acid-based cleaner like Power Brite™ or Ultra Shine™. When it comes to waxes, there are really two main criteria that mat-ter: ease of use and durability. If you really want to add long-lasting protection, a paste wax like VOC Imperial Paste Wax provides the most longevity. However, if you just need a quick touch up, Nano Spray Wax is fast and easy to use. The chart below ranks all of our waxes in both ease of use and durability...

Selecting the right compound or polish for each job can be a bit tricky. At Malco, we always recommend beginning with the least aggressive polish that will effectively remove the type of defect that you’re up against. For example, for heavy damage such as oxidation or acid rain, we recommend a heavy-cut compound like Tru-Grit. Or, if you’re just looking to remove light wear, a one-step glaze like Restore-It should do the trick.
