President’s Report
Well this month we are still in not so much of a lock down, but we still cannot have a monthly meeting.
We will be looking at starting with a motorkhana when events resume.
Things that have been done and going on, have been:
Committee black book updated
Library been updated
New shelves in Toilets
New dart board and back cover
New security bars on the toilet windows
3 preloved heaters/air conditioners 10kws.
One preloved ford 655 backhoe with 2 buckets and one set of tines
Thanks to Ben and Wayne for picking up the backhoe
Sam for cutting the grass and helping with servicing the backhoe
If you go out to the motorsport complex, you will see piles of dirt on the auto cross track. This is to bring the
track back to a more manageable standard, and make it easier for grading.
The chasing land is still on going so remember, if you are driving around or see anything that would be useful,
Ring one of the committee members.
AGM is coming up soon, so if you are interested in committee,
fill in the form in the bulletin and send it to the secretary.
Thanks
Barney Haddon

Rallying to Remain Affordable
Motorsport Australia (MA) have quietly introduced new rules and exemptions to encourage new and
returning competitors into special stage gravel rallying at reasonable cost.
BLCC is therefore planning to run this year’s Steve Richards Memorial R4S Introductory Rally under the new
“Rally Regularity Regulations” – hopefully 3 October, as a “piggy-backed” event to our Daryl Tunbridge
Trial.
MA’s Rally Regularity Regulations were published on 2 March 2020 after smart negotiation with several
stalwarts of grassroots rallying. They were trialled successfully for the George Woods Introductory Rally on
23 February – the only MA rally able to run in Victoria so far this year. I have summarised as follows:
We hope these new regs might spark some ideas for your next motorsport project?!
Perhaps an upgrade for your autocross vehicle? Here’s the Motorsport Australia references you will need:
By all means call or email with any queries.
Terry Brain
