Christianity is not just something to talk about. I t is more than a theory, more than a dogma. 2. It is a living stream flowing through one's whole life. It cannot be hid (Matt. 5 : 13). It finds expression in at least four ways: (1) It finds expression in words. Psalns 19:Hi; Col. 3 ; 17; 4 ; 6. (2) Christianity finds expression in service. Titus 2:7; Luke 22:26; Acts 9Q6-U2; Romans 1 2 : 1 (3) Christianity finds expression in attitudes; A kindly attitude; A merciful attitude. See 1 Cor. 8th chapter. The world is Satan's seat and empire. Job 1:7; 1 Pet.5:8. 2. The world is full of error and delusion. Every kind of dogma is proposed as a substi-| ^^^tute for thenure principles of the word of God. Matthew 15:9; Titus 1:13,14. MORAL PORTRAITS OF CHRISTIANS l.An example is found in Naomi's life before Ruth, her daughter-in-law. Ruth 1:16,17. (1) Naomi's character was rooted in her religion. (2) She did not merely carry the roll of the prophets in her hand...she carried the spirit of God in her heart and life. 2. Ruth was so impressed with the life that Naomi lived as to want to be like her: (1) Entreat me not to leave thee or to return again from following after thee. (2) For whither thou goest I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge. (3) Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God. (4) Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried. SOUL-LITERATURE 1. "Ye are our epistles written in our hearts, known and read of all men" (2 Cor. 3:2). (1) Epistles of Christ (2 Cor. 3:3) in contrast to other types of letters""written by man, and with ink. 2. Christianity written on the soul is the most legible and the most convincing form. (1) Many books have been written on Christian Evidences. (2) One life permeated by the spirit of Christ is far more convincing to the world than all the books on Christian Evidences ever written by man. THE CHRISTIAN'S DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITY BEFORE THE WORLD 1„ There are three things for which each Christian is responsible before the world and God. They are: (1) Each must take a stand and stand fast for Christ. Ephesians 6:11-17. (2) Each must run with patience the race before him.
