speech as did our Vice Principal, touching on the importance of unique experiences facilitated by this

MOTHERS DAY CELEBRATION – PRE PRIMARY
Mother’s Day was celebrated with full fervour and in depth preparation by the Pre Primary section on the 11th. The
four grades of Pre Primary had their own specific time slots and scheduled programme for the mothers. All the
mothers were informed earlier through invitation cards. The soft boards around the play area, corridors, common
space and inside as well as outside of each class room -were decorated with crafts, quotes and banners depicting
the theme of Mother’s day. The colour code for the attire of the moms and teachers for that day was pink or purple.
The special guests of all four grades arrived on time and most of them brought some kind of food item to share
with their child’s class. Assigned teachers received the parents and took them to the respective classrooms.
The grades- PG and Nursery held their programme for both the shifts separately for one and a half hour each. PG
children welcomed their moms with their special Mother’s day song and by rewarding them with handmade crowns!
The children gave the moms a badge right after the session where the moms talked about their children. Everyone
enjoyed the food-sharing segment. To conclude the show, children sang another song for the guests and went
home with their moms.
Nursery children gave a warm welcome to their moms with a lovely song and a handmade bag. They sang two
more touching songs for the guests in between other activities and also made a craft work jointly with their moms.
Moms actively participated in the Mother’s session by talking, sharing their children’s memorable stories, singing
and entertaining all! After hosting the snack session, the moms took their wards home.
Pre KG children had classes in the morning before their mothers arrived. They eagerly waited for them and gave
them a heartwarming welcome with a special song and a beautiful card. Then children and moms paired up to
make a Mother’s day certificate. Most of the moms participated in the Mothers session, which was very engaging
and emotional for all. The young ones presented their mothers with personalized handmade photo frames. The
mothers then distributed the food items among all and hosted the snack party. Before going home with their moms,
children sang another song and some of them even danced for the guests.
KG children celebrated the day in two segments. Firstly, they all gathered at the auditorium and presented a great
show for their moms, where they also put up an exclusive dance piece to show their love and gratitude for their
moms.
Some mothers made the event more special by actively taking part with giving speech, singing, dancing and
reciting. Then the moms along with their children went down to their respective classrooms and presented the
moms with handmade photo frames and vases. They even had a little surprise for the guests. The day ended with
sharing the food and enjoying them.
The core intention for celebrating Mother’s Day was to show the children’s love, respect and gratitude for their
mothers. The day was eventful and successful in every way and the moms indeed felt special!
PRE PRIMARY .
Pre Primary children enjoyed a day in the sun. Shaded under colorful
umbrellas, the children took a stroll around the Pre Primary playground
and then the School’s basketball grounds. Children were informed about
harmful effects of prolonged heat exposure and also taught methods on

A THANK YOU LETTER TO THE VICE PRINCIPAL
Dear Vice Principal,
Hope you are doing well. I would like to take couple of minutes from you for reading out this email.
I am a parent of your school. My daughter Lazina Marium Amin was a student of Grade 11 in 2015. She had to
leave DPS in the middle of the session due to USA immigration. My daughter Lazina got admitted to Huron High
School which a quite well is known public school in the city Ann Atbor, University of Michigan town. The quality of
education there is considered one of the best in the US.
I consider my daughter very lucky to have had an exposure with DPS. They were the first batch of DPS STS
School. I now can see the reflection of standard of education, methods, quality of teachers, total administration,
environment and discipline in her. She had put up with AP courses which is considered as an advanced level
courses and she is hugely appreciated but her teachers there for taking up and doing good in those courses and
she often asked this question in the school and also in the social gatherings as ' which school you are from ? ' ' you
must have come from a good school' .While in DPS she developed an overall good personality which helped her in
getting adjusted to a new country, society, new system and a new culture in a way as if she is one of them.
I personally thank you and Mr. Harsh Wal for implementing an international culture to this school which is not in any
other schools in Bangladesh. My gratitude, thankfulness and warm regards to you , the Pricipal and all teachers and
staff for such contribution. I am proud to be a parent of DPS STS School Dhaka and I wish all the very best for this
very school.
Best Regards,
Samira Farhat Amin
