RHUMC CHURCH CONFERENCE ON SUNDAY APRIL 19TH
Church conferences are a rarity in most United Methodist Churches. They are held only for the most critical decisions that need the full input and support of a congregation. A called church conference can cover only the stated business presented in the announcement. This church conference will vote yes or no to the building and repurposing report made by our facilities study committee and approved by the Administrative Board.
On Monday, April 13th, we will mail a special edition of the Hill Topper to every family explaining the business before the conference. On Sunday, April 19th, we have scheduled a special information session in the Gill for anyone who may feel uninformed or who has questions about the proposal.
VOTING on April 19th will happen in the first five (5) minutes of all three morning worship services. Every church member is eligible to vote. You must be present in the worship service at the time of voting to participate. There is no absentee or proxy voting. If you are attending multiple services that morning, please vote only once.
Please call the church office during the week if you have any questions concerning the church conference.

FAMILY PROMISE UPDATE
The next Family Promise meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 pm here at
RHUMC in the Curry. Come see how you can help! For more information on FPBC, visit www.familypromisebryancounty.org,
join the Family Promise of Bryan County
Facebook group, or contact Jeanne Wallace.
Our adult Sunday School class, FUSE, which meets in the guest room right outside the Curry, will be starting a 6 week study called, "Life Apps" by Andy Stanley. There are various apps available for download ranging from weather and traffic to addicting games. Countless apps are downloaded, but only a few are used. When it comes to our lives, the Bible gives us many applications to live by, but the change happens as we apply them. This study may also be found on our RightNowMedia website. Feel free to join the class and give it a try!
Our Foundations Adult Sunday School class will be starting a 12
week study this Sunday on the book of Revelation. All you ever wanted to know and more about the final book of the Bible. We meet on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. Hope to see you there!

Wednesday, April 15th 5:45-7pm in the Gill
We are grateful to Nicky Long for her generous offer to give all of her commissions on any sales of 31 Gifts to our Adult Mission Trip this summer to Tapachula, Mexico. We have a team going for a week to help in an orphanage there. This is a great option for Mother’s Day and/or graduation gifts, too. If you would like to see items in person, Nicky will have a table set out during dinner on Wednesday, April 15th from 5:45-7pm. We will also have an online option, so please contact me at [email protected] if you would like the information that way instead. Thank you so much for your support of our missions!
