Preparing Our Hearts For Easter
Feeling unloved? Let down? Sidelined or uncared for? Have I got a thought and feeling fixer for you! Every year about this time I begin to contemplate what the Last 18 Hours of Jesus’ natural life on earth must have been like. It never fails to give me a new sense of God’s love for me, a spirit of gratitude and a heart full of worship for Him who did so much for me. As you prepare your heart for Easter, please take a few minutes to prayerfully read through Luke 22:14 – 23:49 with the below timeline in hand. As you read, ask yourself what those last 18 hours must have been like for our Lord.

Real Faith, Real Life. For Christians today, faith in God
can sometimes seen to be a cerebral choice. For the early
church, it was the difference between life and death.
Come discover the passion and commitment early believ-
ers displayed as they claimed Jesus in the face of fierce
consequences and powerful adversaries.

Somewhere in the busyness of life many of us have for-
gotten – or perhaps we weren’t even taught – the basics
of good parenting and our kids are suffering for it. We
have good intentions, but daily frustrations and ongoing
struggles might be evidence that we were better prepared
to drive a car or pursue our career than raise children.
Students
Jesus and The Ordinary Student Room
When we think of the way Jesus spent his time on earth
that last word we typically would use is ordinary. Every-
thing about him, from conception to resurrection, was
extraordinary and miraculous. In this study, students will
explore how a very extraordinary Jesus interacts with the
ordinary world around him. They’ll see when Jesus used
ordinary things for extraordinary purposes, the way he
transformed and repurposed the broken and “unusable,”
the things he values and why he values them, and the way
he uses ordinary people like us to advance his extraordi-
nary mission.

L ast November God used us
to reach out into our
'Jerusalem' of Headland
when each member invited at
least one person to attend a spe-
cial Morning Worship Service. It
was truly an uplifting and fruitful day. During 2018, we're
using the months with 5 Sundays to reach again to those
who need Jesus and His Church. Begin praying for God to
place your "One" upon your heart.
