OnJuly11th,Iwastoldmymomwasbringinghomeasuprise.MyhintswerethatIwouldn’thavetofeedit,butIwouldhavetocleanitand
thatmydadwasincompleteapproval.Iwasveryconfused.MydadaskedmetogointhehouseandgethimmorewaterandsoIdid.WhenIcamebackoutside,mymomwashome.AtfirstIsawthetruckandtrailer.Next,Iheardthetruckandtrailerneigh.Itwasanotherminiaturehorse!Handsomeisanadorablewhiteponyalreadytrainedtopullacart.Heistechnicallyafleabittengray.Handsomehasbrownspotsonhisneckandhaunchesbutnoneonhisbelly.Heturnsonadimeand“tellsyou”ifheisn’thookedupquiteright.Hehasdriveninparadesandcone’scourses.Handsomealsolikestojump.Wehaveatelephonepoleinourfrontyard.IaskHandsometotrotandheimmediatelystartstotrot.Wecomerightuptothepoleandallofasudden...BOING!Handsomeisontheotherside.Heisveryobedient.Isaytrotandhetrots,walkandhewalks,whoaandhestops.Handsomealsolikeswater.CLEANwater.Wheneverwewalkuptothewatertank,healwaysgetsadrink,butitisalwaysalongerdrinkwhenit’scold.Wouldyoubelievea32inchponycanpulltwoadultseasily?Well,hecan.Hetookbothofmyparentsforalaparoundourhugegardenwhilehewastrotting.Theonlydifferencewasthathetrottedalittlebitslower.Hehasaveryspeedytrot.Ifyougavehimthechoice,hewouldtrotformiles.Ourotherpony,Winter,hasalong,smoothtrot,whileHandsomehasaflashy,bouncy,energetictrot.Hehasalmostpulledmymomandmeoffourfeetwhilewalkinghim.Heisstrong!Handsomeisalsoasilly,friendlypony.WhenIaminthepen,Icansitdownononeofthestumpsinthereforthegoatsandhewillcomeuprightbyme.Iaskhimtogivemeakissandhebringshisnoseupforakiss.WhenIgetoutofthecar,Icallhisnameandhewillcomeoutoftheshedorwhereverheistocomeupbythefencetogetpetted.Heloveskidsandisaspecialpony.

Thehistoric schoolwillbeopen fortours4pm-6pm.FoodwillalsobeprovidedbyPeaceLutheranChurch-SplitRock.Theconcert on the green, outside the historic school,startsat6pmandwill featuretheCodyClausonTriowithaneveningofgreatmusicinavarietyofstyles.
