Climate – optional subject

• In the year 2009/2010 we had an optional subject at our school due to the ”Climate year” and COP 15 being held in Copenhagen

• The optional subject consisted of 32 students (13 years), who voluntarily wanted to focus on the climate change in an international perspective.

Learning perspectivs Climate-Change-Project

The optional subject has been based upon an international collaboration project with Estonia, Iceland and Denmark. We have called it : “The Climate Change Project”.

Through the collaboration we want the students to get an understanding for the climate changes in the three countries.

Make them see their own way of living in a larger perspective, and this way come up with ideas of how to reduce the emitting of CO2

Put the Climate Change on the agenda in the local communities.

Through the project we want to develop the student’s intercultural, language- and communication competences.
