This is the way that the colonial people cooked. Here are some recipes from the foods that they cooked. Also I am going to show you

what utensils they used and how they got their ingredients.

Some of what the utensils looked like.

Colonial biscuits

2 cups flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, Dash of salt, to taste1/2 cup butter, milk.

Sift the flour, baking powder and the salt into a bowl. Add butter make sure that you cut it into 4-5 pieces.Stir the mixture. Add cold milk just a little at a time blending with a fork.(use only enough milk to only hold the dough together.Role into little balls and pack down into ½ inch thick biscuits.Back in a temperature of 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

Recipe for colonial stew.

1 lb beef, 6 carrots, 2 potatoes, 5 celery stalks, 1 cup of peas, 1 cup of beans,1 cup of corn, 10 tomatoes, Salt. Pepper, 5 cloves garlic, minced, 5 cups water

Brown meat. Mix vegetables and seasoning in soup pot. Add veggies and water to taste, then stir in meat. Reduce the heat and simmer over lower heat for 1 hour.

Recipe for colonial cornbread.

1 c. cornmeal, 1 c. flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 4 tsp. baking powder1 tsp. salt, 1 egg, slightly beaten, 1/4 c. butter, melted,

1 1/4 c. milk. Sift cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into bowl.Add egg, milk, and melted butter, stirring just until the ingredients moistened.Grease and lightly flour an 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Fill the pan and bake and 425 for

15-20 minutes.

Their crops.

The colonial people's crops grew in the spring, summer, and fall. Sometime on curtain things they harvested them in the winter. Although they were very organized on where to plant, and when to plant their crops. They also knew that if they needed a lot or a very little photosynthesis. And how much they need to water them and stuff like that.
