I will cease running Coffee, Chew & Chat (CC&C) after this month’s gathering on the 26th February. With our General Meetings occurring in the week preceding CC&C in most months, and the improved catering at the Golf Club encouraging over 40 members to enjoy an extended lunch afterwards and chat, I feel there is less desire for members to socialise between General Meetings which has changed the dynamics of CC&C. However, if anyone would like to take over organising Coffee, Chew & Chat, just let me know so I can inform the Golf Club. Graeme Storey

See the calendar for the dates of the regular monthly activities. Payment for any activity can

be sent to the Club’s Post Office Box, or made by direct deposit to the Club’s bank account

FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION 2019 Would you like to join the Beaumaris Bay Probus Club Members’ Footy Tipping Competition for 2019? This is named The BBP Cup. With the AFL footy season starting on March 21st we need to know who of our members are keen to join us for a season of nail biters, upsets and dead-set certainties.

Entering the competition - There are three ways:

1. The easiest way is to let Marny know a password (can be a new one just for footy tips), your email account, your postcode and a birth year (or she can make one up). Then you can be entered into the competition and we will let you know.

2. Or, register on line at footytips.com.au then follow the instructions to enter the competition. Go to your home page, hover your cursor over the competition tab and then click on the search competition tab. This will direct you to another web page where you will be required to enter The BBP Cup into the search field and then to a web page that will allow you enter the competition.

3. You can also access The BBP Cup by clicking on the following link: http://www.footytips.com.au/comps/The_BBP_Cup

The password to begin with to enter our competition is BeaumarisBay

Entrance Fee A $25 entry fee is required to enter The BBP Cup members’ footy tipping competition. All payments are to be made directly to our Probus Club by cash, cheque or bank transfer with the cut-off date being April 18th. When making payment by bank transfer, please ensure that you enter your name in the remittance advice. Rules: The rules of The BBP Cup footy tipping competition are as follows:

You will be required to enter tips for all games in every round of the 2019 AFL Premiership Season;

You will be required to enter a winning margin for the first game of every round (e.g., enter a winning margin in the first game of round 1 between Carlton and Richmond). This discriminates between members on the same number of winning tips.

Tipsters who do not enter their tips will receive the lowest competition round score plus two.

Prize Money

Prize money will be allocated as follows:

One monthly prize of $20 will be awarded to the top tipster for the month. Then final prizes of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Last Place;

You can enter your tips (or make changes by editing your tips) at any time before one hour of the

match starting. And you can also predict your winners weeks ahead (if you go on holidays etc.)

Good luck for the season. Happy Tipping!

Regards,

The BBP Cup footy tipping competition team. (Pat and Marny)
