It is time for Green Little League sign-ups! Please join us for the community’s Spring Season as it gets underway at the Green Parks and Recreation Fields in spring 2014. We will also be taking registrations for the Challenger Division which will provide an opportunity for mentally and physically challenged youth to play baseball through Little League.
Little League, founded in 1939, in Williamsport, PA., is the world’s largest youth sports program with more than 2.8 million children and 1 million volunteers in more than 100 countries. Over 30 million people have played in Little League programs.

As a United States Senator, I am honored to have the privilege every year of nominating a number of Ohio’s top
young achievers for entry into one of our nation’s military academies. These include the Military Academy at
West Point, the Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Naval Academy. Our military
academies offer the education, training, and leadership skills proven to provide each branch of the military with
the best, brightest and most dedicated officers in the world.
If you are a junior in high school and you are inspired to serve your country in this way, please visit my website,

OHIO to request an application packet. The deadline to submit your completed application is Friday,
September 18, 2015 by close of business.
To be considered for a nomination, an applicant must be:

Between the ages of 17 and 23 by July 1st of the admission year

A review board will select the final candidates; members of this board help my office make sure that only the

interview before my service academy review board in Columbus, Ohio during the months of September to Mid-
November.

Introduction to Horses

Location: Camp Y-Noah Equestrian Center 6801 Christman Road, Clinton, Ohio 44216
Spend some magical moments with your child as they explore the realm of ponies and horses with horseback riding instructors from the YMCA. Riders will explore the daily life of a pony. Each child will learn to steer, control, stop, brush, saddle, gain an understanding of how to be safe when working with ponies and have an opportunity to ride with adult/parent assistance. The children will also have an opportunity to paint a picture of their pony. During the last lesson we will have a pony prince/princess, party and the children are welcome to wear their finest prince or princess costumes to get a photo with a pony. This class is for ages 3 to 7 years old. Parent participation is required. Please arrive
15 minutes early to the first class to complete paperwork.

Explore the world of horses with horseback riding instructors from the YMCA. Each lesson will include a horsemanship and riding portion. The rider will learn about the care of the horse and will be shown how to control and steer these magnificent creatures. Emphasis will be placed on safety and allowing riders to understand how a horse thinks, so that they can be comfortable and confident working with them. Students that read a horse book and do a one page report will be eligible for a trail ride at the end of the session. This class is for ages 8 to 14 years old. Please arrive 15 minutes early
to the first class to complete paperwork.

Flower fairies, fairy garden in a mason jar, flower crowns, and fairy wands! July 20th-23rd: Artist self-portrait week. Four days of self-portraits inspired by Andy Warhol, Picasso, and Van Gogh. August 3rd-6th: Recycled art week! Learn ways to make art out of recycled materials.

Join us as we make baskets and fill them with things to donate to The Harvest Home For Women and Children! There is no cost, but each child should bring at least one thing to donate in their basket! Flip flops, diapers, socks, underwear, some toys, etc. We will be teaching the kids how to weave baskets out of recycled materials. Saturday, July 11th from 12pm-4pm.
