The SCD Office will:

• Send out one communication far in advance of the deadline (approximately 1 month when appropriate)

• Send out a reminder will be sent one week prior to the do date

• If you do not turn in your reports / information by the due date, we will then become a pest!

• CALENDAR of REPORTS DUE IS YOUR FRIEND

SCD, CONFERENCE & EPISCOPAL

• Documents requiring the signature of the D.S. must be in the SCD office no less than 14 days in advance of the deadline for signature.

• All documents that require a D.S. signature AND a Conference/Episcopal signature must be in the SCD office no less than 30 days in advance of the deadline for signature.

PLAN…PLAN…PLANTAKE YOUR DAYS OFF

• You are encouraged to take your days off. In fact, soon we will be sending out a communication asking you to respond on what your days off are. Then, we will work hard to not contact you on those days

• Tell us when you are going on vacation. Just send a simple email to me and copy Dr. Monroe informing us of your time off, who is covering the pulpit and any other particulars we need to know.

• You have been assigned a .flumc email….it is the only email the SCD and Conference use to get a hold of you. Check it daily and keep it in good working order

• Missional Vital Signs – they are due to be entered by the 10th of each month. Know who your MVS reporter is…it might be you! But should be someone else

• Good News in the Newsletter – one would think in our line of work this would be an easy one…I’m here to tell you that it’s not!

• Church Dashboard – know your user name, password and what information is contained there.

• Job Descriptions for Lay Leadership is available from Cokesbury – leaders don’t know there are available, might be a good tool to use.

• Availability of the SCD staff…

• A network of Church Administrators

• You know they are one of your biggest assets. Utilize them and train them.

• Those of you who do not have a “paid staff” serving in this capacity, get a volunteer to help.

* Don’t forget your option to come to the SCD for one-on-one administrator training!
