The Conaway ConferenceThe Conaway Conference provides an opportunity for representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Ohio Contractors Association (OCA) to share construction industry innovations and best practices. This informal gathering provides a forum to analyze the previous construction season and to prepare for the upcoming year.

Don R. Conaway was a longtime advocate of partnering between contractors and ODOT. When promoted to the position of ODOT Deputy Director of Construction in 1991, Mr. Conaway reorganized the ODOT-OCA Winter Construction Seminars after several years of inactivity. In 2002, the ODOT-OCA Winter Construction Seminar was renamed the Conaway Conference to honor the late Mr. Conaway.
