E-Mail Scam/Frauds Cyber Fraud is getting more common & sophisticated.

Please look at this:

Criminals are sending emails and text messages that make

it appear that your staff, suppliers or even bank officials

are asking for payments. Watch out carefully for this and

alert of your staff.

These scams cost 40, 000 business millions in 2017.

Don’t let your business add to these figures.

This is in the UK alone!

Can you imagine what it is for all our member countries?

How the scams work

Fake emails: It’s easy for criminals to fake emails so that

they look like they’ve been sent by someone in your busi-

ness. If they’ve hacked a business email account, crimi-

nals can even send emails from genuine business address-

es without the account owner knowing.

The emails ask for money to be paid into an account for

reasons that may seem believable—but the account is

controlled by the criminal. Do not allow one staff to make

payment. Always 2 or more.

Fake text message: Text message fraud works in a simi-

lar way. Criminals send text message that look like

they’re from HSBC on Royal Bank—or they may even be

inserted into a genuine text message conversation you’re

having.

The message ask you to call a number controlled by the

criminal, who’ll then ask for your bank security details so

they can access your account—and steal your money.

Tips to help stay Safe

Fake emails and text messages can be hard to de-

tect—they can look very real. But there are simple

tips that will help catch most scam emails and text

messages.

1. If you get a payment request from a member of

staff, supplier or client, check that the request is

genuine by calling their number you have on

file—don’t call numbers given in the message.

2. We’ll never ask you to transfer money to a dif-

ferent account for any reason. Check and Bank

numbers in messages are genuine by using the

website information.

3. Make sure all of your staff do not pay unless the

account is established and in place.

4. Do not pay any new account.

Express Forwarding Services, Saudi Arabia is extending hands to help the

Flood Victims of Kerala

EFS Logistics forward full heartedly to help the victims of Kerala. They said “The message was conveyed

among our friends and relatives, thereby managed to secure a collective fund that is able to meet the target

of our mission. Our main aim was that the fund is properly utilized, expenses minimized, and benefit is deliv-

ered to the right and needy.

Fortunately, we got an opportunity from Vythiri, Wayanad Ploice Station to join in their efforts to deliver

school kits to 1000 children. This was a very good initiative taken up by CI Sharief Sir with the aim of bring-

ing back the school like of these children who lost everything during the flood”.

“In addition to supplying

school kits for children we also

project to rebuild homes for

those affected by the flood. We

again ensured that what was

being delivered is reaching

right and deserved ones, by

visiting the location and per-

sonally supervising in the en-

tire rebuilding process.

This could not have been pos-

sible without the support from

our entire EFS team.”

We are conveying our grati-

tude to all our staff and their

friends/family who have con-

tributed generously without

which our mission would have

been impossible.”
