Please send news, comments and queries to Renee - email: [email protected] or on-line https://www.facebook.com/thecroaker/ Hi everyone, I’m Lachie Pinda and I’m excited to be bringing Working Bear to the Surf Coast and Otways. Working Bear is a commercial building and Dit-out company. I have worked in the building industry for the past 20 years, cutting my teeth with a Melbourne pool builder when I was 16 years old. After completing an engineering degree and several years of commercial project management and construction roles in Melbourne, the calling to a country life has become too loud to ignore. I grew up spending every holiday at Fairhaven in a family beach house, so the Lorne Hinterland was an obvious choice to start looking for our tree-change property. We fell in love with the White House at pennyroyal and purchased it in 2014. Bringing our new baby son August home to Pennyroyal was the start of a new chapter after three years of splitting our weeks between here and Melbourne. After countless trips back and forward with our daughter Harriet, we are so happy to now call Pennyroyal our full-time home. My partner Chrissie is a primary school teacher and proud Tasmanian. She loves Pennyroyal because the friendly community, excellent local wines (especially the Blakes bubbles!) and close proximity of bush and beach, which is very similar to the lifestyle in her home state. We often head back to Tassie and love the East Coast in particular. We have received such a lovely reception from everyone in the community. I have already enjoyed many a night of good food, wine and company with the Men’s Cooking group. Chrissie is really glad to have found the Deans Marsh Mumma’s group to make connections with other local mums and meet the children our kids will grow up with. We have also loved attending local events such as the Deans Marsh Festival and Winter Solstice. Harriet loved being included in her Dirst lantern parade. I’m really excited about helping with the development of local businesses through Working Bear. Some recent projects of mine have included commercial ofDice Dit-outs in Melbourne and cellar door and function centre projects in country Victoria. I’ve also loved being back on the tools to assist in the restoration of the iconic Grand Hotel in Lorne. If you are in need of project management or construction management of commercial or domestic projects, or any projects requiring a licensed commercial builder, don’t hesitate to drop me a line. Ph: 0402 229 281 or email [email protected] Looking forward to seeing you for a beer at Martians! Lachie
