The Dark Knight RisesCross Media Campaign Analysis

The white logo reinforces that this film is the end of the trilogy because it is “the light at the end of the tunnel” The black used in the poster is also the darkest it’s been in the whole trilogies collection of posters suggesting that this is also Batman’s darkest hour.

The pose Batman is in with what looks like a gun indicates that this might be the point where he actually kills someone whereas Bane’s pose is reminiscent to that of a wall thus being Batman’s unstoppable wall

The scene where Bane lands on a couple of seats in the plane also helps indicate that Bane is of an unmatchable strength, the fact that the camera shakes as well as the camera looking directly up at him makes him seem like more of an imposing villain. An interesting thing to note is that Batman and Bane are mirrors of each other as well, they both wear black and they both have a mask the difference being that Bane’s mask covers his mouth and not his eyes whereas Batman’s mask covers his eyes but not his mouth.

In this shot Bane is portrayed as a nightmare due to the blurred camera and shaky vision, this links in with the description that is advertised to go along with Bane that he is Gotham’s reckoning and his goal is to “Break the bat” Both figuratively and literally as hinted at in the following poster.
