The City of Harrisburg is accepting applications for the position of AssistantCity Solicitor in the Office of the City Solicitor. This position involves a full rangeof responsibilities relating to various phases of municipal operations. Applicantsmust have graduated from an accredited law school and possess a valid driver'slicense. Admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of PA; eligibility to practicelaw in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of PA and the Third CircuitCourt of Appeals; one year of experience as a practicing attorney/law clerk, withexposure to bankruptcy, administrative hearings, labor law, legislative drafting, andtrial case work, both civil and criminal; and courtroom experience are preferred. Thesuccessful candidate must be self-motivated and highly organized.
Residency within the corporate limits of the City of Harrisburg must beestablished within one (1) year of the date of hire.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent fringe benefits.
