NBC’s Today show has done a series this week leading up to Easter entitled “Do You Believe?” Some of the
topics that have been covered include: “Who is God?”, “Is there such a thing as an afterlife?”, “Does prayer
work?”, and “Can you be spiritual without being religious?” Evidently, more and more persons today believe
that you can be spiritual without being religious. In other words, you don’t have to go to church and you don’t
have to believe in organized religion. Instead, you can believe whatever you want. You can choose your own
path. Said the Rev. Michael Beckwith who founded the Agape International Spiritual Center: “We are keenly
aware that there are many paths to enlightenment, many paths to your sacred connection to the divine. It doesn’t have to be
just one way.”
Is he right? Whether the world realizes it or not, what we celebrate here at Easter tells us otherwise. If Jesus really did rise
from the grave, then there is only one way and not multiple paths to heaven. You see: if the resurrection really did happen,
then it does matter what we believe. Two thousand years ago, our Savior rose again just as He said He would thereby prov-
ing that He really is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Consequently, Jesus is not merely a path or an option that people
can choose if they please. Join us this Sunday and invite someone to come with you as we celebrate what makes our faith
unique - that we worship a risen Savior who is alive and at work in our lives today!
In His Service, Bro. Bob
Worship Music for Easter Sunday (April 5) Bro. Zach Bauer will bring the message at the Sunrise
service at 7:00, out in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery this Sunday morning! And, Bro. Wayne Stratton will
bring his guitar for a couple of songs outdoors! Come celebrate the Son's Rise at Sunrise! Bro. Bob will
be preaching the message for the Contemporary Service at 8:30 am, and the Traditional Service at
10:50 am! Our praise team will lead the worship music for the 8:30 a.m. service! The Children's Choir (Grades 1
-5) will open the 10:50 a.m. service with the up-beat praise song: "Come, Now Is the Time to Worship!" There
are 4 short solos to start the song with about 8-10 kids sharing! Lance and Michael will play the instruments for
the second am service!
Children's Choir (Grades 1-5) Instructions for Easter Morning (10:50 am) The Choir Kids need to sit on the
front two rows. We will call them up after the opening hymn to sing their song with the DVD accompaniment from
the balcony! Then we will call up ALL THE KIDS for "Pastor & Lambs" right after the Children's Choir sings!
Yours in Christ, Mark
All children (1st-6th grades) are invited to join a

Wednesday Nights following Missions 6:45-7:30 PM
April 8th - May 13th Each team will present what they have learned at our
Worship & Missions Celebration on May 20th
Next Friday and Saturday we will be hosting our Secret Church event in the sanctuary of the church. I am very excited about this time for our students. I have no doubt that all the students who attend with an open heart will greatly benefit from the time spent studying God's word. Other youth groups from the community have been invited to take part as well. Our speaker is Josh McClellan. Josh is a Ph.D. candidate at Southern Seminary and is a
pastor in Oklahoma. Josh will be teaching on an introduction to the gospels as well as apologetics and worldview. Music will be lead by Isaac Pitman, who has led worship at Crossings for our students. We will begin Friday night at 7, and we will end around midnight. Students from FBC are encouraged to stay the night at the church, and in the morning at 8 we will resume our sessions. If there is one event other than church camp that your child attends this year, this is the one they should attend. The cost of the event is a donation ranging between $5-$15, which will go towards compensating our speaker and musician. For His Name Sake, Zach
