It was after he had been de- serted by so many so-called friends of his, who turned out to be real Tin H,orn Sports, because he lost one fight. “The Brown Bomber,” however, still had thousands of real friends who stuck with him. They encouraged “Joe” to show the world some real fighting. Our Joe Louis Good Luck Club is uniting the many thousands of Joe Louis fans into an organization which is fast becoming one of the largest of its kind in the country Joe is very pleased with the forming of our club, as ex- pressed in his letter elsewhere in this issue; and we were glad to get the opportunity to show him that there are thousands of his loyal Rooters everywhere, who are pull- ing for him at all times. If we continue to lend Joe Louis our moral support, he wil repay us by becoming the next “World’s Champ,” if he is given his chance. 2146 St. Antoine Street, Corner Columbia Clifford 2924 “Harlem C 1 T\T jy < B y WILLARD Society News jsu (AN ABSORBING STORY FROM THE MUSICAL WHICH WILL BE PRO- DUCED BY THE THEATRE ASSOCIATES EARLY THIS SEASON. “Paper-er-er!— Read All About It—Joe Louis To Fight Max Schmeling Again! FRIENDS OF JOE LOUISThe Joe Louis Good Luck Club was organized by

friends and well-wishers of “Joe’s,” at a time when heneeded our moral support. It was after he had been de-serted by so many so-called friends of his, who turned outto be real Tin H,orn Sports, because he lost one fight.

“The Brown Bomber,” however, still had thousandsof real friends who stuck with him. They encouraged“Joe” to show the world some real fighting.

Our Joe Louis Good Luck Club is uniting the manythousands of Joe Louis fans into an organization which isfast becoming one of the largest of its kind in the countryJoe is very pleased with the forming of our club, as ex-pressed in his letter elsewhere in this issue; and we wereglad to get the opportunity to show him that there arethousands of his loyal Rooters everywhere, who are pull-ing for him at all times.

If we continue to lend Joe Louis our moral support,he wil repay us by becoming the next “World’s Champ,”if he is given his chance.

His place or business wasn’t very far away now. So he took out his bunchof keys. It wasn’t necessary for him to read the sign on his window case—‘Sam’s Bil-lard I flail*—to know that he had reached the door. Hie picked up his bottle of milkand inserted the key in the lock. Although he didn’t turn his head, through the cornerof his eyes, he could see three predestrians about to pass.*
