The of f ice of Raf ik El -khour y & Par tners was

establ ished in 1967. from the outset , the f i r m

has, on the one hand been involved in the

s t r uctura l des igns of del icate archi tectura l

projects where only the fu l l interchange of

ideas between archi tect and engineer could

lead to the success of the venture and,

on the other, i ts involvement in impor tant

engineer ing and structura l des igns per se has

been considerable .

involved in s t r uctura l s teel and prefabr icated

concrete des ign and the preparat ion of

fabr icat ion and shop drawings for these

industr ies.

The fir m has been closely involved in

major projects both in lebanon and in the

middle East , g iv ing i t a thorough knowledge

of the region susta ined by wide-ranging

contacts throughout the arab World , and

is under tak ing contracts funded by major

agencies such as : World Bank, unRWa,

European investment Bank, Japanese Bank

for inter nat ional Cooperat ion, saudi fund,

kuwait fund, is lamic Development Bank and

others.

serv ices of the of f ice have been extended

ear ly on to include archi tectura l and Electro-

mechanical Designs and Working Drawings.

supervis ion of wastewater t reatment p lants

and sea out fa l ls, industr ia l equipment and

power s tat ion maintenance and preparat ion

for the pr ivat izat ion of the water and

Even through our work overseas and in

par t icular in the Gul f, uaE areas const i tuted

an impor tant par t of our act iv i t ies f rom the

s tar t , we decided to establ ish branch of f ices

to be able to fo l low-up and under take f i rs t

hand our act iv i t ies local ly. The f i rs t one was

establ ished in 2006 in uaE.
