may know who the buyer is and in September John would be happy to return to our meeting and share any information related to that. • Pat Carroll from Bayview provided an update on campus activities and com-

munity outreach at the Sailabration. • Mike Vivirito shared that the BQIA property on Bay Drive needs to be

mowed throughout the summer and that the cost for maintaining a certified kitchen has doubled. He thanked members for their continued support and shared how membership dues pay for these expenses.

• Mike provided information on the Middle River Fireworks, the results of the Galloway PUD appeal, the improvement in the USPS mail service, and an anonymous letter regarding a concern that a permit had been issued for a two dwelling condo. He also reminded members that there would be no July or August meeting unless there is an urgent need for a special meeting.

• John Schmidt reported on zoning issues. The LaFarge property zoning request was terminated because plans were not submitted; A zoning request for 500 single family homes outside the URDL (opposed by DEPRM) for property off Ebenezer Rd by the Eurice Produce Stand was de-nied; and zoning for 87 upscale townhomes behind Home Depot and Costco has been approved. John had the opportunity to see plans submitted for the Depot on Eastern Ave. and thought the plans were very attractive and promising. The greatest concern, since access would be from Eastern Blvd., was traffic. John also reported on the BQ sidewalk which is now in the hands of another county department to begin the process of contacting homeowners.

• Dave Hash reported on the zoning hearing for an alleged boat club on the property located at 3920/4000 Chestnut Rd. Neighbors on both sides of the property provided testimony against the owner’s petition to “maintain his boatyard as a non-conforming use”. On June 22nd the judge ruled against the petition.

• John Schmidt provided the election results. The elected board members are: President- Mike Vivirito; Vice President– Jim Hock; Secretary– Mimi Rehbein; Treasurer- Dave Steedman; 2012-2014 Directors at Large are- John Michel, Barb Sullivan, Cecile Myrick, Ray Schaferbein, Marsha Ayres, Nancy Hubers and Fred Hylla. The 2011-2013 Directors at Large (continuing into the sec-ond year of their term) are Richard Pitz, Andy Jones, Fred Conrad, John Schmidt, Dave Hash, Charles Marek and Tim Domanowski .

• Fred Conrad won the 50/50 and donated his winnings to the Holiday Giving Basket. Thank you for your contribution!
