Household Help In an effort to keep our household help section current and of value to our readers we will keep listings published for 2 months and then they will be removed. Of course, listings can

be resubmitted if you know that person is still looking for work.

Amazing helper who also is a great cook! Yvonne Brown has been working for U.S. Embassy and expat families for

years, and came highly recommended when we hired her two years ago. She is a hard worker, super responsible, and

I can’t say enough nice things about her. When we leave in mid-June, she will have two days available, Tuesday and

Thursday. Yvonne can be reached at 379-8878. For additional information, you can contact me at redfec-

[email protected]

Ms. Delores McKenzie is available to work as a domestic helper on Saturdays or Sundays beginning June 24, 2017. Ms. Mac is honest, very reliable, and pays attention to the smallest details in the performance of her duties. I highly recommend her. You can reach Ms. Mac at 844-2611.

Madge Sinclair is an excellent nanny and helper now available for full time work. She is also willing to work late during

the week, weekends and overnight. She has worked for other diplomat families, has worked at a preschool, came well

recommended to us and did not disappoint. She cared for our two toddlers, cleaned, did laundry, ironed, and complet-

ed any task we asked of her. Her care for our toddlers was exceptional. She was attentive, loving, caring, patient, kind,

yet firm when she needed to be. She was dedicated to any special requests we asked of her regarding our children and

made sure she followed our instructions. She was also flexible, dependable, and honest. You can reach Madge at (876)

828-3484 and (876)374-4541.

Lorna Burke is highly recommended -- reliable, trustworthy, honest—the whole package. She cared for our three chil-

dren (3,3,4) and kept our household clean and organized for a year and half. She is wonderful with children and keeps

them entertained for hours (arts and crafts projects, baking, picnicking—you name it!) We felt 100% confident that

the children were well-looked after whenever Lorna was present. She is a great cook and cleaner and needs little di-

rection for either. As examples, she took the initiative to whip up gluten-free dishes for a visitor and to undertake ma-

jor cleaning projects (such as washing curtains) without being asked. Lorna would be asset to any family. Please con-

tact Caitlin Bliss at [email protected] for a reference. Lorna can be reached at 325-4555

Juliet White has worked for several families within the US Embassy community and has been with us for about two years. She took care of our two boys (now 1 and 3) while we were living in Jamaica and they loved her so much that we took her to the U.S. with us. Juliet adores children and has a great way of engag-ing with them, always smiling, positive, and enthusiastic. She also kept our house clean and well-organized and prepared simple meals for the kids. Our time in the U.S. has come to an end and Juliet is now back in Kingston. Please feel free to call her directly at 876-841-1903. You can also call me for a reference - [email protected] or (+1) 202-320-6645.

Marcia Ellington - During the last two years, Marcia has done a wonderful job caring for our three-year-old son. We especially love that she reads to him for hours, keeping up with his limitless requests. She also does other activities with him including painting and other types of play. She has been very flexible, often agreeing to stay late with just a few hours notice. Our son has been very comfortable in her care and will surely miss her when we depart. Marcia also keeps our house clean and tidy; her cleaning standards are impeccable. She always sees tasks to be done even before we mention them. Having worked for US Embassy families for the last eight years, she is familiar with security procedures and can help coordinate repairs when needed. We will be sad to part ways with her in late July, when she will be looking for full-time work. Marcia can be reached at 876 451 0949. Feel free to email me for further recommendation at rkebede (at) gmail.com.

Mr. Ezekiel Grey was our gardener for almost 3 years. He is amazing, respectful and extremely reliable. We never had any pests and he turned our barren backyard into a garden filled with basil, pineapple and gungo peas. He would swing our kids on the swing and do other small projects around the house and even helped with our final cleaning. I hope to find Mr. Grey a new home to work for and I hope you love him as much as we did. His contact number is: 390-7649. Feel free to contact me for any questions: [email protected]

Ann Davis Brown is an outstanding nanny who has been with our family for the last three years. She has a work ethic and proactive nature as great as any we have witnessed. She anticipates and assesses situations with a level of thoughtfulness and conscientiousness required to take the nanny role to a level beyond. She challenges herself to un-derstand children and always searches for fun, educational, and age appropriate activities to help to develop and teach our child. She helped arrange playdates and outings and took our toddler to swimming classes and similar activ-ities. She also assisted around the house. Ann travelled with us on vacations both in the Jamaica and the United States and had complete responsibility for our daughter when we took weekend trips around the island.

Ann is a certified practical nurse and has completed first aid and food hygiene courses. She has previously worked for other US embassy families and, during our entire tour, she was an integral part of our lives – a solid partner in caring for our child. She ensured a safe and nurturing environment in which our child thrived. Ann can be reached at 876-569-3974. We can be reached for a reference at [email protected] or 202-290-5601 – Joshua & Gugulethu Polacheck

Sydonne Morris seeks full time work as a domestic helper. She is highly recommended – is reliable, trust-

worthy and hon-est. She is a great cook and cleaner, irons well and follows directions with little supervision.

Sydonne would be a wonderful asset to any family. She can be contacted at 491-4211.

Chensey Watt has worked for the US Embassy community for many years. Chensey is very thorough, efficient, honest and dependable. She arrives at my apartment early in the morning and does an outstanding job. She takes care of my plants on top of the cleaning the floors, ironing and dusting or doing same sewing jobs. My place always looks great. Chensey is available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please feel free to email or call me for a reference – [email protected] or 702-6210 . Chensey can be contacted at 583-4868.

Our nanny's sister Ms. Sonia Myrie is looking for employment as a nanny and/or housekeeper. She worked for the same family the last 11 years (from 2006 to 2017) as a housekeeper/nanny but that family no longer needs her help as the children are older and both parents are no longer working outside of the home. Ms. Sonia is open to part-time or full-time work. Sonia can be reached at 417-4292.

I enthusiastically recommend Mrs. Ophelia Nolan for household employment. Mrs. Nolan has worked for my family

for three years as a full-time (40hrs/week) member of our household staff. Her normal duties include cleaning the

house, basic cooking, and care for my two children after school. She ha

Mrs. Cherrilene Case, a beloved housekeeper, who has worked for 4 families over the course of 32 years, is highly

recommended by all her past employers. Among other great qualities she is said to be honest, efficient, reliable, well-

organized, meticulous, and an amazing cook. Although she has never worked for a U.S. Embassy family, she is

exploring her options and would love a job working for someone in our community. If interested in reading her rec-

ommendations and work history, please email [email protected] or [email protected]. You may contact her directly at
