The Dunkley Herald Term 3 Week 3 August 9 2019
Safe Respectful Learners
Education Week What a sensational week we’ve had! Here are just some of the highlights from what was an incredible week for Mount Hutton Public School:
• Zone Athletics was held over two days with 26 of our students representing Mount Hutton Public School across a variety of events
• Malakye Blair made it through from Zone to Regional Athletics for Shotput
• Baden Donnelly presented an Acknowledgement of Country at Charlestown Square in both Awabakal and English
• Our Senior Boys Cultural Dance group presented their dance at Charlestown Square – Jayden Carter (Didgeridoo presentation), Connor O’Neill, Izak Johnson, Malakye Blair, Allan Middleton and Kayden Nean
• Our Senior Girls Dance group danced away for the crowd at Charlestown Square on the back of their performance at Hunter Dance Festival!
• Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 represented our school at Zone Public Speaking throughout the week – Grace Mateer, Ty Hudson, Noah Hudson, Baden Donnelly, Willis Oprea, Lilly Graham, Braedy Ford and Ninjirah Blair (no Stage 1 results at the time of this newsletter).
• Lilly Graham received a Highly Commended award for her speech at the Zone Public Speaking Final – an amazing achievement when she was competing with 58 students from around our region.

Our current Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus is on being a ‘LEARNER’.
Dunkley says, ‘I am a LEARNER who always stands up for myself and others at school.’
‘I am safe. I am respectful. I am a learner.’
Everyone, Everywhere, Every time
