The earth is so much bigger then the moon. If the earth was the size of a basketball the moon would be the size of a tennis ball. That is how much bigger the earth is then the moon.

The side of the moon that does not face the sun is very, very cold and damp, and the side of the moon that does face the sun is very, very hot and dry. The moon faces the sun some of the time and faces the other side the rest of the time.
