King Tut of The Latest Millennium
Or
The Egyptians Had The Guts To Question Their Last Pharaoh!
Edited By: Abu Al Haq
The Scene: King Tut's Tomb
The Dialogue: Recalling that scene of a kid addressing his father, in (Circus of
Heaven by Yes)
Son: Can I ask you something Dad? Why did they cover King Tut's face with a gold
mask?
Father: Son, when a man chooses to be in charge of millions of people's lives anddestinies, he is really choosing to be held responsible for all the atrocities
implemented by him, his family, and all his staff and protagonists, down to the lowest
soldier or policeman out there. I guess after a long reign of wrongdoing so many
people ,in different kinds and sizes, a mask was understood to be able to hide an ugly
face , even if it were a repenting one. The gold part of this whole thing is perhaps to
distract attention of the beholders from the "thing" lying behind the mask to a rather
"Other" golden shiny image, somehow! It is all a show thing dear son.
These days, and from a long era of being an unquestionable president fathering and
husbanding an untouchable family, leading a whole regime of dictatorship and
corruption, all the way to a pretty short era of being a helpless defendant behind thebars, accused, and almost a condemned criminal, charged of being in charge of
robbing a whole Egypt all out of its welfare, national pride and dignity, and allowing
his family members to monopolize everything in a regime that was said to be
republican ,so they used to describe it , same as any other Arab regime around them
where sons inherit their fathers in more than the Islamic Shari'a could ever allow them
to acquire.. so seems the life of Husni Mubarak the ex-president of Egypt, in brief.
The Egyptians slept on it for decades, same as did the Tunisians and the Libyans, for
the price of revolting had always been catastrophic, since the early days of states in
this region of the world where logic is invisible and no citizen can question the rulerwhere do all the country's revenues go ,or where the hell did he bring all those super
millions to build palaces that can put all those 1001 nights palaces and castles in the
shade , but every sleep is destined to end in an awakening of some kind , and the last
Pharaoh woke up lately to find himself lying on a couch behind the bars in a court that
he recognized to be the cul-de-sac of his rivals and foes ,yet he showed there almost
like King Tut , but without any gold mask to cover his disgrace. He couldn't even
stand tall as Saddam Husain did; he even missed the fierce retaliation of Saddam
Husain as he showed scratching the face of his prosecutor. Mubarak lost the tiniest
traces of arrogance and agility of what he used to reflect for decades, quite typical in
stances like these. Dictatorship in the Mid East is a trend of life; I doubt it that most
Americans are acknowledged of it. The way Mubarak ruled over his people , and thatpracticed on the level of most presidents , sheiks, and monarchs is a mere continuation

of what is conducted and preached inside the casual family atmosphere ,the class
rooms , markets and workshops where illiterate craftsmen contribute to dwarfing their
junior assistants, adding more to the dilemma of any Arab community. Mosques are
no exception to this, the dogma followed is further supersized to abort any
questioning move, resulting in a much exaggerated image of ordinary clerics, the
dilemma is deepened even furthermore. The revolutionary Islam as it landed there inthe Arab peninsula some fourteen centuries ago, and till the late days of the second
Caliph ,Omar Bin Alkhattab ( recalling how he once demanded his people to correct
him if he were ever to go wrong or astray , and accepted a commentator saying that
Muslims would do, even if it were to take swords to do so), that genuine image of the
very revolutionary Islam had been altered ,dwarfed and deformed gradually with the
pass of time, a back-in-time act of Arabs whose homage was for the tribal identity and
ethics more than it was for the new religion, and due to the infiltration of Persian
newcomers, still carrying traces of total submission to God-like Kisra (Persian
Monarch) of their past , that genuine Islam got sort of minimized to the fading image
that we are witnessing today where Sultans are understood to be the shadow of the
Deity on earth, an alteration to fit any Sultan and keep his people under hisunquestionable command for as long as he may live, and for what his inheriting sons
would be living it too.
The Egyptians were bold enough to take the initiative and try their own president and
his gang, for all the sins that they had committed so far. I guess it is time for the
American people too to try their late president , George W. Bush, and his gang of
right wing hawks, and stand them guilty of all the atrocities and crimes done in Iraq
under the administration that led all investigations of the Bin Ladin's conspiracy to
point to the wrong direction and save the real perpetrators from their just punishment ,
allowing Iraq eventually to fall as a ripe apple into the long waiting hands of the
clerics of Iran ,as a reward for their support. All this seems to be at the cost of so
many thousands of US Army casualties , all for nothing like they say, except for
zillions of dollars wasted , and the daily scene of disabled veterans asking for alimony
,there around Times Square and all around other states streets and avenues sidewalks .
The hand made carton sign is always about (Anything Can Help)!
