� According to this Feng Shuisystem, based on your birthdayand gender, you will beinfluenced in positive and negativeways by the eight directions. Fourdirections will support you andfour will not.

� The lucky directions will augment wealth and money luck, health, good relationships, and stability.

� The unlucky directions will set into motion divorce, bankruptcy, betrayals, lawsuits, cancer, and so forth.

Module 2: Your Life Gua Number

� The idea is to use and activate your good directions and diminish thenegative ones. Before you can begin using this great system, you willneed to determine your personal Life Gua number.

� There is a specific calculation to arrive at this number, but you willhave quick reference chart for ease. If you were born prior toFebruary 4th in any given year, use the previous year to get your LifeGua number.

� For example, if you were born January 28, 1970, use the year 1969 toget the year’s begin-date in order to find the correct Life Gua number.

� See the chart on slide 17.

� In Feng Shui, the Chinese solar calendar is used exclusively.� Additionally, the New Year usually begins on February 4th.� On rare occasions, it starts on the 3rd or 5th.

Males born before the Year 2000SUBTRACT from 10

• Take the last two digits of the birth year until it reaches a single digit, then minus that number from 10

• If you reach the number 5—take the number 2 as the Gua

• If you reach the number zero, take the number 9 as the Gua

• If born before Feb 4th, use the previous year

• Example 1: January 15, 1974 We use the previous year because the birth date is before Feb 3. Add 7+3=10. Get single digit by adding 1+0=1 Subtract 10. 101=9. In this example, this man’s Gua is a 9.

• Example 2: May 1, 1954 Start by adding 5+4=9 Subtract 10. 109=1 This man’s Gua is a 1.

• Example 3: April 16, 1990. Add 9+0=9. Subtract 10. 109=1. In this example, this man’s Gua is a 1.

• Example 4: May 1, 1980 Start by adding 8+0=8 Subtract 10. 108=2 This man’s Gua is a 2.

• Example 5: Feb 28, 1995 Start by adding 9+5=14 Get single digit by adding 1+ 4=5 Subtract 10. 105=5 This man’s Gua is a 2.

• Example 2: A male baby is born Feb 1, 2000. We take the previous year of 1999.

• Example 3: A male baby is born April 5, 2002. 0+2=2 29=7. This boy is a 7 Gua.

• Example 5: A male is born Feb 1, 2016. We take the previous year of 2015. Add 1+5=6 Subtract 96=3. He

• Example 6: A male baby is born Sept 25, 2012. 1+2=3 Now subtract 39=6. This boy is a 6 Gua.

• Example 1: June 21, 1954 Start by adding 5+4=9. Then add 5. 5+9=14. Reduce to single digit by adding

1+4=5. Female 5’s take the 8 Gua. This woman is an 8

Gua.

• Example 2: January 18, 1970 Since this birth date is before Feb. 4, we use the previous year of 1969. Begin

by adding 6+9=15. 1+5=6. Add 5. 6+5=11 Reduce by

1+1=2. This woman is a 2 Gua.

1+5=6. This woman is an 6 Gua.

• Example 4: January 5, 1999 Since this birth date is before Feb. 4, we use the previous year of 1998. Begin

by adding 9+8=17. 1+7=8. Add 5. 5+8=13 Reduce by

1+3=4. This woman is a 4 Gua.
