Local Declaration Process
A declaration/resolution is required for inclusion in a Presidential Declaration. When in doubt declare for an emergency/disaster. (Local to County)

Tribal nations located within Nevada, are recognized as sovereign nations.

Tribal nations can apply through the county, state, or directly to
FEMA.
Tribal Declaration
County/state/federal involvement for resolution of the situation requires that the tribal nation request assistance using the same procedures as any other incorporated community within a county

Other federal agencies may provide assistance without a Presidential declaration
Without a Presidential declaration, FEMA funding is not available
Even with a Presidential declaration, not all programs requested in the declaration may be approved
Local government or tribal nation is responsible for all costs of the event
