Greetings!

When I was a student at Yellville Summit I remember there was a group of men

who visited our campus every year, and gave every student and teacher a free gift.

That free gift was a little green King James Version New Testament. Many of you

remember receiving that same gift as a student. Unfortunately, the days of the

Gideons having access to our public school campuses are over. However, over the

past several years they have developed a resource called the Life Book. The Life

Book is the Gospel of John packaged in a design that a student can sit down and

interact with. They have offered this resource free to churches all over the world.

So….our student ministry has partnered with the Gideons. On Wednesday night,

August 27th, we handed out close to 1,000 Life Books to be passed out on the

campuses of Benton, Bryant, Bauxite, and Harmony Grove. Our students were

challenged to think of 3-5 students on their campus who need to know Jesus. Not

only did we pray for those students, but we then resourced our FBC students with

the Life Books to hand out as a free gift.

I am praying that as a result of this we will come to see more students going to

heaven instead of hell. Praying for more students to become followers of Jesus

instead of followers of the ways of the world. Praying for more students to be

baptized into the Kingdom of God. Join me in praying for spiritual

awakening to take place all over our campuses!
