Laissez Faire Literally means “hands off” in French. An

economic model where the government is not involved in the market.

Despot(ism) A dictator or ruler with absolute power.

Natural Right A privilege or obligation that is owed to you

because you are a human being.

Separation of Powers The idea of dividing powers among several

people or groups to prevent one from having absolute power.

who used their power to give rights back to their citizens.

the 1700’s.
