The Eppendorf line of New Brunswick CO2 incubators were the first to use direct heat technology, effective high-temperature disinfection, standard infrared CO2 sensors and seamless chambers, which eliminated the need for a fan. This tradition of innovation continues with the New Brunswick S41i CO2 Incubator Shaker.

Raising the bar

Galaxy S series incubators, in 14, 48, and 170 L capacities, feature an easy-to-use LED display. Compact Galaxy model 14 S fits in a laminar flow hood and is ideal for isolated applications. Galaxy 48 S and Galaxy 170 S offer more capacity for traditional applications that require standard incubation.

Unlike forced-air incubators, this design guards against wide fluctuations in temperature and CO2 that can shock cells. The deep-drawn, seamless chamber with round corners makes cleaning extremely easy and high-temperature disinfection effectively ensures a contaminaton-free environment for cell culture. There is no fan inside the chamber; this eliminates a repeating source of contamination, the need for expensive HEPA filters, and disturbing vibrations. This also allows the entire incubator chamber and upper shelf to be used, giving you more incubation capacity in a smaller footprint.

New Brunswick CO2 incubators do not use traditional thermal conductivity (TC) sensors that are sensitive to changes in chamber humidity and temperature fluctuations. The InfraRed (IR) CO2 sensor provides specific measurement and accurate control of CO2 levels. An auto-zero programmable function ensures accurate calibrated measurements.

Full-featured Galaxy R series incubators, in 48 and 170 L capacities, include an advanced LCD display and more options such as O2 control. These versatile incubators are ideal for traditional and non-traditional applications, including cancer and stem cell research.

New from Eppendorf, the New Brunswick S41i is designed specifically for suspension cell culture applications. It’s the only CO2 incubator with a built-in New Brunswick shaker.
