3. there are literally hundreds of homeless women and children
4. Many families are just one event away from homelessness.
5. In 2010, there were 1,000,000 foreclosures in the U.S.
6. The unemployment rate in Washington State is 9.1%
7. 1 out of 4 children in the U.S. lives in poverty.
8. More than 2,000 children are homeless tonight in King County.
9. Nearly half of them are under the age of 6.

18. Provides education, transitional housing and support services
19. Provides homeless children K-6 education and support services for their families
20. Offers an education program called Morning Song Early Learning Center for children ages 1-5 and
21. they served 7,000 families in King County alone.
22. Makes real change in the lives of students who are in challenged schools, primarily in low-income areas.
23. Provides educational support for foster children by having programs that help kids stick to their goals.
24. These programs have helped hundreds of families rebuild there lives, giving them
25. HOPE
26. With many more families becoming homeless
27. They desperately need our help.
