development and regulation of a number of the body's systems, such as the reproductive and immune systems. Example giving birth causes hypothalamus to secrete oxytocin

What happens when glands don’t operate properly?

Hypogonadism is when the ovaries are not producing enough sex hormones. This can usually cause Turner Syndrome, gonadal dysgenesis, and galactosemia.

To treat this, a doctor must replace the hormones in the ovaries to try and copy the normal hormone production.
