Book Fair This book fair, a core group of four moms were at school almost all day, every day. THANKS to Sunny Tsai, Sheila Sakamoto, Sandy Jumalon, Eileen Dann, and the other parents who took a shift at the book fair. Thank you to all of you that come out to help set up and pack up the book fair too! It was a great success! Spirit Wear This Fern parent of a 1st grader, Julie Silagy took on a big project, keeping our kids geared up with Fern Spirit by organizing our Spirit Wear / Spirit Gear Sales. Thanks for the many hours spent spreading the Fern Spirit! Operation Gratitude Thank you to all our generous Fern families, as we surpassed last year's candy collection by 41 pounds! We proudly presented an astonishing 159 pounds

of candy to Operation Gratitude, to send to our troops overseas for the holidays! We are so touched by the kindness of our kids and families and know it will be returned to you all. Thank you! And a very special Thank you to Eileen Dann for organizing Operation Gratitude again this year! Hail the Unsung Heroes PTA funds thousands of dollars in activities for our students and all of those finances are processed and tracked by our amazing financial team: Kimberly Mora-Treasurer, Sunny Lin-Financial Secretary, and Judy Briggs-Auditor. They are constantly keeping on top of the finances producing the necessary reports and making sure we are keeping legal. There is no rest for this team of dedicated volunteers and we are lucky to have

such a competent hard working team. Adventures in Art This program is a wonderful addition to the Fern students this year and has run smoothly with the support of many dedicated volunteers. Thanks for all the volunteer hours and the energy it has taken to get this program going at Fern. Special thanks to AIA Chairperson- Heidi Dimaya and all the AIA Docents. Food Drive Thanks to everyone that contributed to our annual Food Drive. We were able to help many Fern Families. Also, thanks to the local Rotary Club, who donated Thanksgiving dinners to our needy families. Last, but not least, thanks to our Chairman Rosie Amezcua & Monica Ingold for all their hard work in making this program a success.

WHY: Many children are reported missing in the USA each year. Some are found within a few minutes or hours. Police o!cials say that time is critical in the recovery of a missing child. A major source of wasted time is in the gathering of resources, "ngerprints, statistical information, and photographs. This can be avoided by providing a pre-made "le to the authorities.
WHAT: S.I.P. Kids will be running the event and taking FBI quality digital "ngerprints and photographs of your children. Their inkless digital scanner captures high quality "ngerprint images that are printed on a record and then provided to the parents for safe-keeping. The only record taken is sent directly home - they do not database any information. In the case of an emergency, parents are able to turn this "le over to the authorites anywhere in the world to instantly aid in the investigation, saving crucial time and resources.
