Get Ready for Liftoff

Is your child interested in scientific discovery? If so, your child should join us for a week full of exciting adventures. Students will explore rockets and rovers, as they engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) activities. If your child would like to attend, complete the information sheet attached to the Findley Flyer. The deadline to turn in the information sheet is May 16, 2014, and space is limited. We look forward to this week of explorations and discoveries!

Book Drive

Dear Parents, Our names are Ankita and Nikita Varman. We are in 11th grade at Chattahoochee High School and former students of Findley Oaks. We are collecting books from May 12th until the end of the school year. We will donate the books to an orphanage called Sontham, in India. The school the orphans attend there does not have enough resources to allow education past the 10th grade, so we want to help by providing some resources. As the school year here comes to an end, please assist us in donating your gently used or new books to a box located near the front office. The age range of orphans is between infants to 18-years, so we can accept any (educational, reference, picture, novels, etc.) books for this entire age range. Thank you so much for your support!

Girl Scout Project

As part of earning their Bronze Award, the 4th grade Girl Scout Troop #10737 has decided to start a Caprisun Drive at Findley Oaks. This is an ongoing collection and Findley Oaks benefits from the profits of collecting the packets. So, “Save Your Caprisuns and bring them to school the next time you go.” You can place them in the specially marked box in the cafeteria. The girls will make sure the packets are picked up promptly and mailed to the recycling company in order to get credit for Findley Oaks. “Thank you Girl Scout Troop 10737!”

Cub Scouts

All rising 1st thru 5th grade boys and parents (currently K-4). Have you ever spent the night in a science center, attended space camp, explored the reptile house at the zoo in the middle of the night, spent the night on an aircraft carrier? Do you enjoy camping, hiking, funny skits, building and racing model cars, playing sports, learning about nature and your community? Does this sound like fun? Then you need to join Cub Scouts. Cub Scout Pack 3143 would like to invite you to our annual summer kick-off celebration picnic to enjoy food and play some outdoor games. It’s a great opportunity to meet other families, learn about the program, and sign-up.
