We are especially grateful for the members of four chapters in Tallahassee (Alpha Kappa, Iota, Alpha Lambda, and Beta Phi) and their members who provided dinner and rooms in their homes. A very special thank you to Sha- ron Simmons as she organized the dinner and stays. State President Dr. Nancy Henning and her husband opened their home for a festive dinner and hosted again during our lunch debrief. The kindness of our members makes for a lifetime of friends, camaraderie, and memories. On Monday evening, we were hosted with a smorgas- bord of dishes and desserts at St. Stephen Lutheran Church where rally participants also made meaningful signs for the rally. State honorary member and former Congresswoman Gwen Graham, and House Repre- sentative Anna Eskamani came for delightful discus- sion and enlightenment about our five issues. Those issues are teacher shortages and retention, high stakes testing, accountability and transparency, financial sup- port for education, and human trafficking. On Tuesday morning, key women educator delegates Ten years ago, I was initiated into Delta Kappa Gamma. The decision to join this organization was not haphazard. I’m that busy type, just like you all. When I read the purposes of this organization, a light popped up. I thought to myself, this will work!
