An open house is tentatively set between 1-4:30 pm. Enjoy treats and musical entertainment during the afternoon and remember loved ones in the glow of the luminaria, lit on the stairs at dusk. Look for specifics in the November newsletter. Admission is free during the event. This is a great time to purchase a gift membership for friends and family. A special gift presentation card is available for those purchasing gift memberships. Besides free admission and other benefits, members receive four Franklin Flyers in the mail through the year, full of interesting regional history. n Nov 2 Three Rivers Writers Festival at the WSU/Tri Cities Campus FCHS partners with WSU/Tri-Cities to present a full day of special events for all interested in history research, writing, and publishing. The program will run Saturday from 8:45 am to 3:30 pm at WSU’s East Building on the Richland campus, 2710 Crimson Way. Morning sessions will feature works by individual authors while afternoon panels will be devoted to journalism and new media, researching local history, and writing and publishing See details on page 3.
