● Same Diploma for all students with:

→ Common Core Classes

→ Option to pursue electives in 11th and 12th grades

● 10th grade: common core + personalized academic guidance and mentoring

● 11th grade: common core + 3 specialized academic instruction subjects + personalized academic guidance and mentoring (+ option to pursue electives)

● 12th grade: common core + 2 specialized academic instruction subjects + personalized academic guidance and mentoring (+ option to pursue electives)

1- 10th grade 2019-2020: ● Placement tests at the beginning of the school year:

○ Assessment of French proficiency level ○ Assessment of Mathematical ability○ No preparation required for these assessments○ Students will be able to identify their strengths and areas of potential improvement

● Personalized academic guidance and mentoring: ○ Academic support tailored to students’ needs○ Enrichment courses available in Math and French provided to students in need of additional

support○ Academic counseling

: 60% of the final Bac score

1 oral and written French exam in 11th grade

4 exams in 12th grade:➤ 2 exams in the student’s chosen academic specialties (See p.8)➤ 1 exam in Philosophy➤ 1 final oral interdisciplinary exam based on the student’s 2 confirmed academic specialties

Final Exams

=40%

Continuous assessments (p.13)

10% = every course grade earned throughout 11th & 12th grades

30% = common core subject exams during 11th & 12th grades (p.13)

Final Exams = 60% of the final baccalaureate score○ 1 oral and written French exam in 11th grade

○ 4 exams in 12th grade

➤ 2 exams in the student’s chosen academic specialties

➤ 1 exam in Philosophy

➤ 1 final oral interdisciplinary exam based on the student’s 2 confirmed academic specialties

These exams will be administered using the current French Bac testing procedures.

■ The student’s completed exams will be anonymously scored by teachers who are not their own.

Continuous Assessment = 40% of the final Baccalaureate Score○ 10% = cumulative grades in every subject from semester grade report obtained in 11th

and 12th grades

○ 30% = common core subject exams excluding Philosophy, French, the selected academic specialties and the electives chosen by the student.

■ Exams will be administered in 3 sessions:● 2 sessions in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of 11th grade

● 1 session in the 2nd trimester of 12th grade

■ In order to guarantee fairness and equity among all schools, the exams will be derived from a digital online bank of exams.

■ The student’s completed exams will be anonymously scored by teachers who are not their own.

Make-up exams (in french:”rattrapage”):

A student who obtains a grade between 8 and 10 on the French Baccalaureate

will be allowed to take oral make-up exams in two of the following subjects:

Usage of abstract Math (theory) (Geometry, Algebra, Differential Analysis…) to apply and solve real life problems (Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering…).

History and Geography, Geopolitic and Political Science

Understanding the contemporary world through the study of political, social and economic issues, with special focus on international relations.

Foreign Languages, Literature and Culture

Mastery of a foreign language and the in-depth understanding of its culture.
