A meeting was called by Louis XVI in the Versailles with estates-generals to discuss and agree to a new tax plan. The tax plan caused the poor people to suffer and some also died. Some of the poor children were servants for the rich people and they only earned little money. During those days the poor suffered badly and most of them died.

Three Poitevin curés decide to join the Third Estate, leaving the Chambers of Clergy. Accepting the position of the Abbé Sieyès, the Third Estate names itself The national assembly. about 20,000 to 40,000 people dyed. 97% of the city was poor and the rest were very rich.

After being locked out of their meeting room, the third-estates people promised to meet in the nearest tennis court and swore that they would not separate until constitutional regime was established. It took ages for them to establish a constitutional regime.

The national assembly commands that 30 members of the national assembly to write a draft of the constitution. The national assembly reclaims itself the Constituent National Assembly, their primary task is to adopt a constitution. Finally they did and they all were dismissed from the tennis court. Demonstrations and speeches took place at the Palais–Royal.

The storming and the fall of the Bastille happened. Some people were so mad they charged into the castle. Children were forced to go with them and most were killed. Women protested about the taxes and men protested about losing their jobs. The Bastille was a huge palace with eight towers. It was built in the East Paris district of St Antoine. There were various rumors being floated around that the King was suspected for planning and preparing a violent reaction for the French Public through the use of the military. This created a disaster which led to the people storming the Bastille.

The women of Paris invaded the Palace of Versailles. Parisians, led by a large number of women, marched upon Versailles and forced the royal family back to Paris, where they were prisoners in the tulleries. Louis XVI is considered a “Prisoner”
