INTRODUCTION
A teacher is a person who helps students to learn. A teacher often works in a classroom. There are many different kinds of teachers. They use different ways of teaching. Most teachers use a variety of methods to teach. Teachers often explain new knowledge, write on a blackboard or whiteboard, sit behind their desks on chairs, help students with their work, or mark students' work.
Cont…..Forget the chalk and textbooks. Teachers are modernizing education by removing the walls between classrooms and real life. They’re doing best job to innovate in teaching and learning very easy and attractive by using recent technologies. Choosing the right technological tools for teaching is a vital step in ensuring the effective use of technologies in Education. This article gives information about recent technologies that can be used in education.
THE ROLE OF TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION
• PEDAGOGY• CONSTRUCTING LOCAL CONTENT• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT• COLLABORATION
Role of the teacher
• Present the teaching points in more interesting and attractive way.
• Guide to the students make best use their time.• Provide individualized instruction and coach the
students.• Prepare teaching learning material by using best
suitable technology for students in conventional situation.
• To improve the ways of teaching in new fashions.• To solve the study problems of students.
THE FUTURE OF TEACHING TECHNOLOGIES
• 1)MOBILE LEARNINGIn mobile learning the Apps are – Sky Map, Hangout,
etc.
2)3D PRINTING
3D printer is specifically for children. The 3D printer should really be a must-have in classrooms.
3) Cloud ComputingIn the future classroom, students may just need an electronic device to access all their homework and all other learning resources in the Cloud. This means no more lugging heavy textbooks to school, and having constant access to students reading
materials as long as they have an Internet connection.
4) Online Social Networking It also serves as a great feedback tool, to help improve the education. A social-based approach to education will seem more than relevant to students of the future.
5) Flexible Displays The answer might just be flexible OLED-based displays. Just like regular paper, these displays will be lightweight, flexible and extremely thin. This means we can roll them up into tubes or fold them like newspapers.
6) MULTI-TOUCH LCD SCREENS After all, we’re talking about a screen that will be attached to a computer capable of generating infinite combinations of images, sounds and videos, just like our smartphones. The major difference with this new "board" and our smart devices is that it will be capable of detecting multiple touch inputs from many students simultaneously.
7) Game-Based LearningTo cater to such a fast-paced generation, schools will eventually abandon traditional teaching methods of rote learning to align themselves with the times. One great way to achieve that is to use what had always been
considered as a major distraction to learning – video games. KinectEDucation provides a one-stop online community for interested educators and students who want to use Microsoft Kinect for learning purposes.
CONCLUSION
• The teachers and students should address change in our society as a chance to improve our educational practices in order to achieve an education with quality. By incorporating these technological trends into the educational system a higher quality education can be provided at large segment of the population.
