I truly appreciate the support over the years and humbly stood by while you marched a steady stream of new clients through our doors! I am grateful for our team here who endured the noise and dirt that is associated with a construction project. Further, I am gratified by our progress in becoming a firm that is achieving its vision of transparency, accessibility and consistency. We have made a major investment towards the future. FALL 2015

When we founded the Gen-Wealth Group in 2008, we were a small team of three and have grown steadily increasing our team to six. As our clients have grown, so have we and it’s al-lowed us to expand our offices. If you’ve been by recently, you witnessed the slightly messy (and slightly noisy) renovation in progress.

I am writing this today from my new office on the second floor. I’m par-ticularly appreciative of my new space since I have been working on folding tables in the office break-room (fondly known as the “dungeon”) for the past several months during construction.

I want to extend my gratitude to all of our clients (many who have been with us since my Bank of America days)! I truly appreciate the support over the years and humbly stood by while you marched a steady stream of new clients through our doors!

We’re thrilled to welcome you to the new offices upstairs and hope you feel like you’re arriving at a private client space that exceeds the com-fort and energy of the first floor.

I am grateful for our team here who endured the noise and dirt that is associated with a construction project. Further, I am gratified by our progress in becoming a firm that is achieving its vision of transparency, accessibility and consistency.

We have made a major investment towards the future. Truth be told, we could have plodded along with a small team and not bothered to build upstairs at all. I felt the firm couldn’t reach its potential that way.

We remain as committed as ever to putting clients and ethics first and building the very best team of professionals to serve your needs in a per-sonalized way.

The GenWealth Group continues to be a work in progress and we’ve al-ways got our eye on what lies ahead. We’re always working on new ways to give our clients the kind of service and expert advice only a small, private firm can deliver. In the meantime, I invite you to see our new space and watch us grow.

Generating wealth strategies for the road

If you're from the Maplewood area, then you surely know about the Village Trattoria. Angelo Vayas was the owner of this local favorite and earli-er this year he lost a long battle with a rare form of brain cancer. GenWealth Walks for Hope is our Annual Charity Event that seeks to raise money (and HOPE!) for a variety of

causes. In the past, we fo-cused our efforts on raising money for breast cancer. This year...we gathered HOPE for brain cancer. We just couldn’t pass up the chance to honor our friend and fellow merchant ! Sponsored by our firm, the event includes a pre-walk breakfast, some motivational speakers and a 3-mile trek through the beautiful Maplewood Village.

Our event drew over 150 participants and we raised more than $10,000 for the cause. Every dollar re-ceived went directly to The Caroline Fund (http://www.carolinefund.org) whose mission is to support brain and spine cancer research at John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ. This is the chosen charity of the Vayas Family and we are so thankful for your contributions to this important cause!

As you know, we’ve recently expanded our team to offer greater client support. Please join us in welcoming Aamir Mir to The GenWealth Group. As a Client Service Associate, Aamir will work closely with Kim DiBlasi (Chief Operations Officer) to assist with account maintenance, paperwork and interac-tion with our back office at LPL Financial.

Prior to joining our firm, Aamir spent two years at Scottrade as an Investment Consultant. Aamir holds Series 7 & 63 registrations through LPL Financial.

He is a graduate of Saint John’s University and holds a BA in Finance. Aamir re-sides in Parsippany and when not hard at work, he enjoys fitness training and hiking.

Aamir has spent the last few months behind the scenes getting schooled in all things “GenWealth” and we feel he’s now ready to take the training wheels off!

Aamir will be sitting at the front desk and answering phones, so be sure to give him a warm welcome! He can be reached at: [email protected]

Time To Check Your Cholesterol!

Don’t you just love hearing those words from your doctor? Routine cholesterol checks are still the Standard of Care for early detection of heart disease. Early intervention can lead to better outcomes and improved health. At GenWealth, we agree! We’ve developed our own Standards of Care for your financial health.

Our goal is to help alleviate some of the anxiety you may feel about the future. As you progress through life, we want to reassure you that we’ve got our eye on the road ahead. For each “decade” we’ll be talk-ing about the specific issues that pertain to you. For example:

In your 40s, we’ll help you evaluate your financial goals and make a plan for retirement. “Knowing your number” sets the stage.

In your 50s, we’ll check-up on Estate Planning (when was the last time you had your Will updated ?)

and help evaluate if Long Term Care Insurance is right for you. In your 60’s, we’ll help navigate Social Security and/or Medicare. These benefits can be confusing

and we’ll help guide you on how to best maximize them. In your 70s, we’ll evaluate options for legacy transfer of wealth to the next generation. We’ll talk

about if (and how) you may want to distribute your assets later in life.

These are just a few of the conversations coming your way. Just as your physician has a Standard of Care for your health…we’ve got one for your financial well-being.

Typically, an “SOS” signal is a sign of distress. If you know someone who might be feeling this way about their finances, they may want to consider a new service we’re offering.

Lots of prospective clients come to us wondering if the advice they’re getting is in their best interest…or their advisors’ best interest?

IT MAY BE TIME TO GET A SECOND OPINION.

Much like a patient might seek a second opinion after a medical diagnosis, our Second Opinion Service (S.O.S.) can provide confidence and help deter-mine if your current financial plan is designed to ad-dress your objectives.

Our Second Opinion Service offers a complimentary consultation. It’s an opportunity to just talk in a “no-pressure” situation.

We’ll provide an objective view of your portfolio and talk about how we might help you and your family pursue your long term goals.

Here are some questions commonly asked:

How diversified are my investments?

Am I getting real advice or just being sold “product”?

How much am I truly paying for the advice I receive?

Do I have enough money to retire?

Our SOS (Second Opinion Service) is available to qualified clients online at: www.thegenwealthgroup.com
