1 Store Front Signage Repair In our League City office, our neon sign has several of the letters

that are not lighting up. We need a sign company or an electrician

with understanding of these signs to get it back fully operational.

2 Grant Researcher/Writer We are looking for someone who can help us research and find

grants that might be a good fit for us. They can also help with

writing if they would enjoy that part of the process.

Material Needs3 Heavy Duty Shredder Our Seabrook office is continue to grow and we are working our

little shredder to death. If you have a large shredder that you no

longer need, we would love to put it to use!

4 Christmas Goodies & Treats Our Christmas open house is on December 14. We are in need of a

fruit tray, veggie tray and other Christmas goodies. We could also

use 2-3 cases of water. This would need to get to the office by

December 12.

5 Data Gatherer We would like to gather some data and lists of churches,

businesses, schools, etc. so that we can let them know about all

that we do and how it can be a benefit to their families, employees,

etc. If you enjoy Excel and collecting information, we would love to

have your help with this.

re-price and organize.

keep our website up to date. We work with a WordPress site, and

can train anyone with basic computer skills, on this task.

• Keeps website current on all events

• Helps to coordinate deadlines for posting of content

• Liaison between contract/volunteer Webmaster and

Communication’s team. Likely to require no more than 2 hours per

week. After initial onboarding/training most work can be done

from home.

2 Communications Editors Do you know when to add and where to place commas and

semicolons, or do you often catch when others forget to dot those

'i's' and cross those 't's' ? Then we need you on our volunteer

team! IA is seeking 2-3 Editors to:

• Proofread copy for spelling & grammatical errors and omissions

• Proficient in reviewing technology of Microsoft Word & or Adobe

PDF

• Is willing to make suggestions of verbiage changes.

• Responds as quickly as possible and with accuracy to editing

requests.

Can work on project from 1-4 hours per week or bi-weekly as

personal schedule permits

love to have 2-4 volunteers to help our training coordinator with

assembling training manuals for our Abuse in Later Life & Family

Preservation Mediation courses, and other similar projects.

Estimated 2-4 hours/week.

6 Grant Researcher Volunteer needed to research grant opportunities 2 hours per

week or bi-weekly as personal schedule allows (may do 75% at

home.) Volunteer will work closely with our COO & Director of

Resource Development.

Professional Expertise1 Teachers/Tutors Help prepare our ASVAB class students in areas that are tested on

the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Classes

are held in the evenings at LCM. A new class will launch after the

new year.

Assistants

LCM is looking for individuals that would like to work as little as a 2-

hour shift once a week in the resale shop or in our office helping

with phones and admin tasks.

Material Needs3 Christmas Gifts and Items LCM's Greatest Gift Shop will be December 19-21. Please bring

unwrapped/new gift(s), stockings, and stocking stuffers to LCM. If

your department or business is willing to conduct a toy drive for us,

we will come and pick up those items!

4 Folding or Stackable Chairs

LCM needs another set of 50-100 folding or stackable chairs


5 Gift Wrapping at Baybrook Mall We need two people for every 2 hour shift to help with gift

wrapping at the Baybrook Mall. Our times are:

Sat. Dec. 16 from 12pm-8pm

Thurs. Dec. 21 from 12pm-8pm

Fri. Dec. 22 from 4pm-8pm

Harvey family moving back into their home. A team of 2-4 people

will pick up the items from a designated location and deliver and

assemble the items at the delivery location. Timing can be

Pyrex bowls; can opener (black); mixer; coffee pot; cooking

utensils.


5 Volunteer Chairman Golf Event is held in Fall, 2018; chairman identified in January

2018.

6 Sibling Support Program Presently identifying child life specialists and counselors for

program. The program will be held on second Saturdays monthly

and PJH is interviewing now for targeted volunteers.

our staff.

2 Christmas Goodie Bags Items for 300 Christmas Goodie Bags. Hygiene Items: soap,

deodorant, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, Vaseline,

shower gel (all travel size). Haircare Products: scrunchies, ponytail

holders, headbands, grease, gel, small combs (no metal on bands).

Christmas Socks.


3 In-facility Volunteers In-facility Volunteers for discipleship programs, life skills classes,

visitations to kids, etc. Training provided through YFC.

4 Mentors Mentors to be placed with youth once they leave the detention

facility. Training provided through YFC.
