One day there was a hungry family of rabbits. They lived in a deep dark burrow, which was warm and cosy. Father rabbit went out looking for food for his family. He found a great big carrot patch and in it he found a big big big enormous carrot. He thought that carrot would be a fine meal for his whole family.

He made up his mind to pull it up and take it home. So he tugged and he tugged but it wouldn’t budge! He went back to the burrow to get mother rabbit to help. So they tugged and they tugged but it wouldn’t budge! They called uncle rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged but it wouldn’t budge! They called aunty rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged but it wouldn’t budge!

Next they called big brother rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged but STILL it wouldn’t budge! Then they called big sister rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged but STILL it wouldn’t budge! Lastly they called baby rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged and they tugged and it flew out of the ground. They carried the carrot home and celebrated with a succulent carrot stew. Lastly they called baby rabbit to come and help. So they tugged and they tugged and they tugged and it flew out of the ground. They carried the carrot home and celebrated with a succulent carrot stew.
